Owner · Spice Merchant

Growing up in a large Italian family and spending much of my time in the kitchen alongside my parents and grandparents—it is no wonder I have found comfort, familiarity and passion within the culinary and spice world. The connection to plants runs deep and is a big part of who I am.

I was born in a small town outside of Boston and moved to California with my family before my teenage years. Throughout my childhood and continuing into my adult life, food seemed to be a central thread and played an important role in my life. Gathering in the kitchen, preparing meals together, sitting down around the table with family all brings back amazing and fond memories. All those deep connections and roots have led to a smooth transition into the world of spices.

Spice of Life began through family, traditions, good health and love of cooking. Creating spice blends that are healthy, fresh, vibrant, well balanced and easy to use was the heart and passion of why I started my business.

Transforming your food, creating amazing dishes, and elevating your meals through spices and herbs can be an exciting and delicious adventure. A tiny amount of spice can dramatically affect your dish, adding aromatics, texture and incredible flavor.

The world of tea has also blossomed within me. With plants being a constant in my life I am truly captivated by both traditional teas made from the camellia sinensis (tea) plant as well as herbs, roots, barks and berries used in teas for medicinal qualities as well as taste.

Farmer’s market was a great avenue to introduce my spices blends and teas. Selling throughout San Luis Obispo county for several years I eventually opened a store in downtown Paso Robles. I carry a large selection of premium spices and herbs, local artisan products, hard-to-find ingredients, cookbooks, spice and tea supplies, and more.

My journey continues to feed my soul. Learning, listening, and cultivating relationships provide me the expression and balance to help navigate through this amazing life.
